We just returned from the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) in beautiful Nafplion, Greece, and we’re still dreaming about the views—and the yachts. As one of the premier events in the luxury charter world, MEDYS gives us the opportunity to step aboard dozens of the finest yachts in the Mediterranean, meet their crews, and bring back firsthand recommendations for your next dream charter.

Whether you’re thinking about chartering in Greece, Croatia, or the Amalfi Coast, attending shows like MEDYS allows us to personally vet the vessels we recommend and ensure your experience is nothing short of extraordinary.

Yacht Highlights from the Show: A Few Vessels that Truly Wowed Us

If you’re considering a charter in Greece, this classic Athens-to-Athens route offers the perfect blend of iconic hotspots and hidden island gems. Ideal for both first-timers and returning travelers, it delivers crystal-clear waters, charming villages, and a dose of history and culture along the way.

Here’s a peek at what a week onboard might look like:

DAY 1: ATHENS-POROS

Poros is a lovely town, just steps from the water, consisting of shops and open-air restaurants for you to explore.

DAY 2: POROS-HYDRA

Beautiful, colorful homes up in the cliff-sides. A quiet town, without cars. Boats, foot-traffic and mules are the way of travel in Hydra!

DAY 3: HYDRA-SPETSES

Another town without cars. Moped, foot-traffic and horse-drawn carriages are transportation options. Beautiful old homes that date back to the neoclassical period lodged in narrow alleyways are a sight to see.

DAY 4: SPETSES-ASTROS

Enjoy a swim off the deck of your charter in the bay of Astros like the locals do! Paralio Astros Castle overlooks the port and is a common attraction for visitors.

DAY 5: ASTROS-LEONIDIO

Leonidio is a place of class and wealth; from the mansion homes and breathtaking architecture, rich with history. Enjoy even more breath-taking Greek cliff-sides.

DAY 6: LEONIDIO-AEGINA

Aegina is a wonderful small island to stop at on your way back to Athens. The well-preserved Temple of Aphaia is a sight to see as it dates back to 490 B.C. and is much less crowded compared to similar temples located on the mainland.

DAY 7: AEGINA-ATHENS

After a day of swimming in the waters of Aegina, your final morning can be spent enjoying a shore tour of Athens beaches. If you’d prefer to sleep in, you may enjoy a lovely pre-flight brunch aboard your charter.
