10-day Society Islands loop
A sample loop through French Polynesia & Beyond. Everything below is a starting point — every charter is shaped around your group, your pace, and the season.
Numbered pins mark each anchorage in order, traced by the real sailing route. Hover a leg to see that day's notes; scroll or pinch to zoom and click-drag to pan.
Cocktail/mocktail welcome. Afternoon cruise to Moorea (~1h 30). Anchorage in Cook's Bay. Snorkel the channel and sunset sundowners in Cook's Bay (optional).
Cruise to Opunohu Bay. Beach time at Ta'ahiamanu, snorkelling the reef and a sunset hike to the Magic Mountain.
1The port city that first welcomes you into the warm embrace of Tahiti, Pape'ete is well worth taking the time to explore even when the stashed-away coral atolls are calling. Fall in love with the sunshine yellows of the Notre Dame Cathedral, explore the colours and sounds of the Marché de Papeete and pick up some of the famed black pearls. Visit the pearl museum for an in-depth look at the history and culture of pearl diving, then stroll along the waterfront and grab a food-truck lunch at the iconic Place Vaiete.
2Moorea is something truly magical. With its vertical peaks reaching for the sky and its moon-white sand beaches, this French Polynesian gem is a soft alternative to its sister island of Tahiti. Visit the Tiki Village with its local feasts, song and dance. Epic dive sites at every turn — swim alongside rays, eagles, sharks and a whole host of other characters. Pick up beautiful velvet black pearls, the kind that makes this island so famous. Between beach days at Coco Beach and Opunohu Bay, drop anchor, swim, sip coconut water and ride bicycles around these truly exotic shores.

3Located among the Society Islands, Huahine offers a paradise for snorkelling and scuba diving, 4WD island tours, historic and cultural tours, and a visit to a distillery. Huahine is famous for its sacred eels which guests can feed from a bridge crossing the stream where they live.
4Home to some of the best beaches in Huahine, Avea Bay is a beauty sitting on the southwest of the island. Wide warm lagoons make a perfect scene for swimming, and the stunning beach of Relais Mahana anchors the bay. Fill your days with swimming and wading in the shallows, snorkelling and startling sunsets. Palm trees and stars set the mise-en-scène for peace and tranquility, and lucky snorkellers who make it across the reef may see rays and black-tip sharks.
5Accessed from nearby Raiatea, Tahaa is best known for its vanilla and pearls, both of which are of high quality. It's less modern than the other Society Islands and an excellent venue for jet-skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving. Other activities include visits to a vanilla farm, a pearl farm and day tours. French and local cuisines and seafood dominate the menus, with plenty of European options too.
6One of the world's most romantic islands, Bora Bora is an ideal sailing destination for honeymoons and anniversaries. Golden sands and glistening turquoise waters surround a genuine premium anchorage. Best activities are water-based — scuba diving, snorkelling, jet-skiing, paddle-boarding, rafting, jet-boating, kayaking, shark diving and more. Dry-land excursions include island tours by quad-bike and 4WD. A boat trip to the Lagoonarium is well worth it. Bora Bora has fine-dining restaurants alongside sushi, French, European and Asian cuisines.
