Tell Robyn who's coming, roughly when, and what you want the week to feel like. She answers personally, usually within a business day.

A week on a crewed yacht is the easiest vacation you'll ever take — but a few small decisions before you fly make the whole week run smoother. Here's everything we tell our charter guests, organized so you can skim or read it cover to cover.

You will need a valid passport. Check now to make sure your passport is up-to-date — passports expiring within six months of your charter should be renewed.

Soft-sided luggage is strongly advised to prevent delays or loss. On catamarans, storage is limited. Motor yachts have more space but still discourage hard-sided suitcases.

Keep printed or digital copies of your charter contract and passport readily available — and bring a backup somewhere separate just in case.

Island casual rules. Swimsuits during the day, shorts/sundresses for evening dining. Flip-flops are enough — formal footwear isn't necessary on board.
She has prepped hundreds of guests for their first charter — there's no question too small.

Travel-size sunscreen is recommended. Most yachts have sunscreens and toiletries (shampoo, soap, conditioner) on board as a standard amenity.

Access to pharmacies is limited at most anchorages, so please be sure to bring any prescription medications you'll need for the week.

A dry-bag, waterproof phone case or waterproof camera prevents water damage during water excursions and dinghy rides.

Yachts provide equipment, but personal gear fits better. Consult the crew about sizing for children before you fly.

Required for diving activities. Coordinate equipment details with the crew beforehand so the right gear is on board.

Bring chargers for devices, memory cards and consider a Go-Pro for documenting the week. Ask us about the destination's outlet type.

Non-drowsy formulas are recommended. Consult your healthcare provider first — and bring more than you think you'll need to share with the group.

Generally 15–20% of your charter fee, given in cash at the end of the week. Mastercard, Visa and Discover are widely accepted; American Express often isn't.

Verify international roaming charges with your provider before you fly. Many providers offer cheap pay-by-day travel passes that beat default rates.

Multiple guests creating playlists ensures varied music throughout the week. The boat's audio system will thank you.

Your charter yacht will have wi-fi for general daily emails and communication, but likely not enough capacity for streaming. Download before you fly.
